Career Training Programs Available
The Emergency Medical Technology program teaches students the skills and knowledge they need based on the rules from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Arizona Department of Health Services. After finishing the program and getting licensed, students can work as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for ambulance companies, fire departments, first responder groups, or hospitals. The program focuses on the basics of helping people who are sick or hurt. EMTs are trained to respond to different levels of emergencies, give care, and transport patients to or from medical facilities.

Medical administrative assistants perform administrative functions within a medical facility using their knowledge of medical terminology and administrative applications. This role combines both direct and indirect patient care duties with administrative skills and interpersonal abilities.

- Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Medical Administrative Assisting from Phoenix College
Career Pathway Option:
- Students will earn 18 college credits toward a post-secondary (two-year) degree or Medical Assistant certification
- Option to sit for the Certified Medical Administrative Specialist (CMAS) exam and become a certified Medical Administrative Assisting

The Nurse Assisting program helps students get ready for jobs as nurse assistants. The program includes classes, hands-on practice in a lab, and working in places like nursing homes or hospitals. After finishing the program, students can take a test to become certified if they want to meet the requirements to work as a nurse assistant. The Arizona State Board of Nursing is in charge of the certification and licensing rules.

The Pharmacy Technician program trains students to work in places like pharmacies, hospitals, and other healthcare settings. Students will learn how to handle and prepare medications, give them to patients, and manage supplies. The program teaches medical and pharmacy vocabulary, laws and rules, how to help customer service, read prescriptions, do math for medicine doses, follow safety rules, and handle billing.
