The Business Field of Interest is designed for students who have an interest in owning and operating a small business, customer services, business management and administration, risk management & insurance, finance, hospitality and tourism, culinary arts, and marketing.

Business Entrepreneurship

Designed to provide students with an introduction to the entrepreneurial process. Courses include a history of entrepreneurship and its impacts on society, business start-up opportunities, creating a preliminary business plan and securing a healthy financial future. 

Career Outlook:

  • Certificate of Completion (CCL) In Entrepreneurial Studies Level 1 from Rio Salado College

Adult Education students are able to pursue stackable credentials toward a career in a high demand industry while at the same time earning the required credits in a currently offered degree program at Rio Salado College.

Retail Fundamentals

The Retail Industry Fundamentals credential is recognized by leaders in the retail and customer service industries, including Target, Walmart, Disney, The Home Depot, Fry’s/Kroger, and many others.

Earn an industry-recognized credential that shows your employability skills and knowledge of the retail/customer service industry, its impact on the economy, and the variety of jobs available. Explore career paths and gain skills that set you apart in areas like sales, financial literacy, inventory, interview skills, workplace safety, and math skills to conduct sales transactions.
